Grant Paswall is the founder of GPS Wrestling Club and our Head Coach. He finished in the top five in the New York and Pennsylvania State Tournaments, and took first at the NJ State Prep Championships. In addition, he was a four-time Freestyle State Champion. These successes earned him a spot in the starting line-up at the University of Illinois. Grant has been exposed to some of the best coaching styles in the country and has blended these ideas with his own philosophy, which provides the foundation for our innovative wrestling programs. As a coach, Grant has had many successes in a relatively short amount of time. 



Peter Dene is a high school biology teacher and just finished his ninth year as Tappan Zee High School’s Varsity Head Coach. Under his leadership, the wrestling team has had nine consecutive winning seasons. Peter is known for instilling values and the type of work ethic that benefits athletes long after their wrestling careers are over. He’s been voted Rockland County Coach of the Year, and has been awarded League Coach of the Year three times. He has coached numerous Rockland County champions, All-Section wrestlers and NY State Qualifiers.

Joe Regan holds a MS in Exercise Science and Nutrition and is currently the Head Coach for the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Joe helps to create and deliver the strength and conditioning programs for GPSW athletes. His programs are constantly evolving with the advances made in athletic performance training. He is committed to delivering to his athletes the most effective and innovative training modalities, while keeping our wrestlers healthy and fit throughout competition.

Reid Paswall has been with GPSW for three years, and is known for bringing unmatched energy and a vast knowledge of the sport to every session. Reid was a two-time Letter-Winner for Wyoming Seminary High School in Pennsylvania, who were ranked among the top ten wrestling teams in the nation at that time.



Nick Sulzer was a four-year member of the University of Virginia’s Division 1 wrestling team. He was a three-time All-American and became only the second team member to earn NCAA All-America honors three times. He twice was selected to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team and earned Virginia's Top Athletic Scholar Award and its Wrestling Leadership Award in 2015. Following his career as a student-athlete, Nick became an assistant wrestling coach at The Wrestling Factory of Cleveland in 2015.

Jeff Regan had an impressive career as a high school wrestler which earned him a spot on the Campbell University Wrestling Team. There, he was a two-year starter under some of the top wrestling coaches in the country. Jeff has been an advocate for wrestling within the local community; volunteering his time at Mahopac High School before joining the Hackley School wrestling staff. He has helped coach multiple NY State Champions and Prep School All-Americans during his high school coaching career.



Amanda Da Costa is a former NCAA Division 1 student athlete at Florida State University. She was also a professional soccer player, competing and working with the most elite athletes for over seven years. Amanda continues to work with young soccer players to develop their skills while focusing on sports specific strength and conditioning techniques.
